Gerardo A. Arceo Vidal - Senior Associate
Graduated from Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he earned a distinction with his thesis on taxpayer rights. He has expanded his credentials with postgraduate studies at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), which has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of tax law and its impact on business operations and decision-making.
His legal background is complemented by business experience across various sectors, notably his involvement in restaurant and real estate development projects, which has given him a practical understanding of the tax, financial, and operational challenges facing businesses.
He began his career at Deloitte, where he worked in strategic tax planning and consulting, contributing to the design and implementation of tax structures for national and international companies. Since 2012, he has been with Aguilar Bornacini & Asociados, where he provides specialized tax advice and consulting. He actively participates in tax and administrative litigation, representing taxpayers in proceedings before tax authorities and competent courts.
Agustín G. Campos Priego - Senior Associate
A graduate of the Law School at Universidad Panamericana, where he completed a Master of Laws degree (with Honors). He received a Diploma in Taxation from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Diploma in Amparo Proceedings from the Judicial School of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. Since 2017, he has served as an adjunct professor to Juan Antonio Aguilar Cervantes in the Department of Tax and Administrative Procedural Law at the Law School of Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City campus.
He completed a year of professional internship at Notary Offices 138 and 67 in Mexico City. Subsequently, he worked for a year at the Federal Court of Administrative Justice, where he acquired a solid foundation in tax and administrative law. He has been part of the Aguilar Bornacini & Asociados team since 2015, primarily handling tax and administrative litigation matters.
Juan Antonio Aguilar Cervantes - Founding Partner and President of AB
Graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Tax Law from Universidad Panamericana, where he also completed postgraduate studies in Taxation and a Master's degree in Tax Law. Additionally, he completed the Advanced Management Course (AD) at IPADE Business School (2015-2016).
He has been a professor at Universidad Panamericana for over 25 years, teaching Tax Procedural Law.
Professionally, he served as in-house counsel for Casa Pedro Domecq from 1999 to 2005. Subsequently, he was a partner at Bufete López Padilla from 2005 to 2009. Since June 2009, he has been a Founding Partner of Aguilar Bornacini & Asociados, a firm specializing in tax law.
He is the author of the book Tax Procedural Law, published by Tirant lo Blanch and Universidad Panamericana, a reference work with three published editions, the fourth of which is currently in preparation.
He also participates as a shareholder in a Chilean company dedicated to the marketing of
fruit to Asian and European markets.
